This quiz was developed by Dr Speiser at the Sydney Breath Clinic after treating thousands of patients and seeing common links and habits amongst Bad Breath sufferers. It is a major part in allowing our Clinic Dentists to determine if your bad breath is due to normal healthy activity or maybe due to something unhealthy like gingivitis or periodontitis. Online Bad Breath Advice with a Consultant - FREE
UK Breath Clinic offers a Free Confidential Bad Breath Consultation with a trained consultant. During this phone appointment the consultant will examine dental issues, health issues, lifestyle choices, and advise you on any questions you may need answered. This will enable the consultant to help you understand where the bad breath bacteria may be living in your mouth and throat as well as helping the consultant to recommend the best possible treatment for your condition. DIAGNOSIS OF BAD BREATH - EXCLUSIVE TO UK BREATH CLINIC

Halicheck Gas Chromagraph; enables us to determine the levels of the three main gases of bad breath. These levels will be able to tell us the severity of the halitosis as well as the likely source of the odour is located. We are specifically interested in the tongue surface, teeth and gums and mucous at the back of the throat.

Detailed Lifestyle Quiz;, the quiz will examine your ability to clean your mouth in general but specifically the biofilms that contain bacteria that cause bad breath. The quiz also examines your medication, illnesses, intake of foods and times of eating, as well as addressing any individual concerns you may like to add.

Saliva Evaluation; here we look at the pH of the saliva, the quality and quantity of the saliva. We know that certain types of saliva can support more of the bad breath bacteria, so we are trying to identify these types.

Clinical Examination; once we have gathered all the above information we then look clinically in the mouth to positively identify the areas of concern that we have found with our above three tests. The clinical examination ties everything together, and confirms our diagnosis and following treatment.
In 90% of cases it is not necessary to attend the clinic for a comprehensive examination, and most cases can be easily diagnosed and treated by a detailed phone conversation with one of our trained consultants that takes into account the key factors of the above tests. Clinic Halicheck Promotion (10minutes) - £30.00
The UK Breath Clinic Halicheck is a specialised gas chromography device that can smell bad breath particles in quantities down to 1 part bad breath gas per 1 billion parts of air. This is up to one hundred times more sensitive than the human nose. There are three main gases of bad breath with each gas coming from one main sector of the mouth and throat. Halicheck enables our consultant to determine each gas level.
Currently UK Breath Clinic Halicheck Promotion costs £30 and includes £30 of product with each Test done. This test is performed by a Breath Clinic Consultant. The Consultant will be able to give you a graphical printout of your bad breath gases and offer you advice on our product range. If your readings are high, then a Breath Consultation with one of our Breath Clinic Dentists may be recommended. You will need to attend our clinic for the test, but you do not need to be in the dental chair.

Clinic Full Breath Consultation (60minutes) - Refer to Clinic
The UK Breath Clinic Consultation is performed by a Breath Clinic Dentist and is a full examination of your breath. It begins with a Halicheck. While the reading is formulating, we will check the acid levels of your saliva before and after eating to determine if this is impacting your breath. You will fill in a detailed questionnaire, that will provide valuable information to the trained breath dentist. These results are then combined with a Clinical Examination where the dentist will examine you for gum disease, oral hygiene cleaning, and any other clinical tests deemed necessary. This is the core treatment that has been so successful for Dr Speiser in Australia, where currently he has over 90% success rate.
